Merry Christmas, everyone. I must confess I hadn't expected any gifts at all, but I'm very grateful for the ones I recieved.

[He does sound a bit amazed, really, but at the same time very happy.] Neither of you had to. I hope I can get each of you something in return soon.

On that note, it appears that most if not all of us have been given pokémon eggs. I never did believe in Santa or an entity such as him, but I suppose unless no one steps forward to claim responsibility for this, now might be a good time to start.

Yes, it's nice. Though... It's a bit strange to think that this place celebrates Christmas, too. Even the locals seem to know what's going on.

Yes, I noticed this as well. Winter fests are common in most civilisations - having similar traditions shouldn't be too surprising. What's noteworthy is the level of similarity.

It would be a nice thought if our traditions are identical to theirs in terms of familiarity, but I doubt this to be the case.
