002 [Audio]
I made it to Cherrygrove yesterday, and I think I'll be quite content to stay here for a while. Since you've all been very helpful so far, I hope you'll take the time to answer this question, as well - where does one find a good cup of coffee around here? I'd really appreciate some cherry pie as well, but I'm going to assume that cherries are unheard of in this place. I certainly hope coffee is something attainable, though. At the very least, something that is similar to it.
[OOC: Action for anyone in Cherrygrove! He's hanging around sort of without purpose outside the pokémon center at the moment, looking at the sky with a frown.]

[action] coffee buddies
Oh. With a happy sigh, Dee sinks in her seat. "This is fantastic," she agrees, cradling the cup in her hands. "You sure know how to relax."
Re: [action] coffee - the start of any beautiful friendship!
"I think you should give yourself a gift like this once a day, every day. It's good for the soul, if we have one."
[action] A moment that shall go down in history
"Things are always changing as well. Music, viewpoints, games- everything imaginable. It's not just in the long term, but day after day, second after second. Everything moves so fast..." She opens her eyes again and takes a sip of her coffee. "And then it's gone." Setting it down on the table, Dee smiles at him.
"I think I'll have some coffee everytime I'm in a town in Johto."
Re: [action] -thumbs up, true Cooper-style-
"I think that might just be what separates us from the animals - that we're always rushing. We choose to embrace the changing things in life and be afraid of the constant, stable ones ... death, time. And taxes, as the saying goes."
Cooper smiles back at her, absently stirring his coffee a little with the spoon that came along with it. Not because it's needed, but because it's a little something to do.
"Me too, of course. Why just Johto, though?" he asks her, noticing how she specified that location.
[action]
A weak heart? Lungs? Her brain? Without much concern, she wonders if it's the body itself that's weak or some outside force that will do it.
She takes another sip of her coffee. "So I'm taking things one step at a time. Every city in Johto, and then everywhere else in this world if I turn out to stay this long." She chuckles. "I'd like to savor my time here anyway."
Re: [action]
"I think I know what you mean. I'd definitely like to make use of the time I'm going to stay here as well, however long it may be. In all honesty, the thought of going back now finds me with some sadness - though I'm still a little anxious to see how things are going back home and worried that they might need me, there's something about this world that strikes me with a calm I really appreciate."
He pauses for a while and takes another sip of coffee, looking like he still finds the flavour a really nice surprise.
"In many ways, I guess you could say I also consider this my vacation. I haven't had the time to take a break like this for a very long time, though whatever it is that you do sounds more demanding regarding time." Another, very brief, pause, before he leans forward a little. "I'm curious. What kind of work is it that you do?"
[action]
She knows that everything will be taken care of in her absence, knows that her siblings can usually handle themselves well enough... But still.
The question has her duck her head, a failed attempt to hide her little smile. Or maybe it's not an attempt at all. "It's a people heavy position. I meet people and then, at the end of a really long day-" Greed's comments about the days blurring together into one long one comes to mind, making her smile widen. "-I show them out to where they think they need to go. Like the greeter at a hotel, I guess is the closest thing to it."
Re: [action]
"I suppose it isn't my place to ask for details, if you're providing me with metaphors." He doesn't mind, though. "I hope you don't find it intrusive of me to ask, but are you even from this world? A lot of people I've met seem to be of different universes - or different times."
This is something that he's found very interesting - how whatever brought them here seems to have a greater control of all these worlds, realities, universes - so whatever it or who it is, must be truly powerful or in possesion of something that is. Just what, he knows he probably can't even imagine, though it doesn't halt his curiosity regarding what it could be.
[action] whooo mixing in canon maybe
It's a smart observation, one that's no doubt been picked up by others but perhaps not paid as much attention to. "Someone seems to have made this something of a 'soft place'." Dee takes a long gulp of her drink before explaining. "There are places all across the universes where time and space shift. You can meet a child and, a few minutes later, meet that child as an adult. They have reaches in strange places. There's no telling when someone will stumble onto one. But this seems a bit more... manmade than natural."
With a sigh of a laugh, she shakes her head. "I'm so glad my brother warned me something weird was about to happen."
Re: [action] yay for canon! cooper wants to know all about it.
Cooper listens carefully, with a frown of concentration marking his forehead just a little. Abstract thinking wasn't unfamiliar to him, of course, but you still needed a bit of focus discussing these things.
"You seem to know what you're talking about", he states, spinning the coffee cup in his hands slowly. "Is this what you think, or what you know?"
He ignores the comment about her brother, for now.
[action]
"Of course," she adds, shrugging, "just because I can say what this is, or at least similar to, doesn't mean I know the how. I guess I'll figure that out while I'm here."
Re: [action]
He finishes his coffee, almost regretfully so, but he'd rather do it while it was warm than wait for it to cool. It's just not the same. "I suppose I don't mind doing a bit of investigative work on my own, though. Perhaps I'll figure it out. It's part of my job, after all."
[action]
"If I learn anything of my own, I'll tell you," she says, honest. "Two heads are better than one. Isn't that how the saying goes?"
Re: [action]
Cooper stands as well, getting his coat from the back of the chair in the same motion. He finds his wallet, to which he's transferred the money he recieved upon his arrival, and puts a bill on the table as payment for the, in all actuality, very good coffee.
"That's the saying, yes. I always found it to be very true. I'll be sure to tell you anything I might find out as well. This is quite a grand mystery, don't you think?" He genuinely enjoys it, though, and it's easy to tell. "Who knows what might happen once we solve it."
Re: [action]
"Thanks for having coffee with me." She slings it over her shoulder before waving at him. "We'll have to do it again sometime."
Re: [action]
He isn't sure at all how to react to that kiss, so he lets it slide without comment or any real reaction. It makes him feel slightly awkward, but considering how comfortable the rest of their meeting was, he decides it's not important.
"Absolutely. Thanks for the company." He returns the wave with a small smile, before putting on his coat. He leaves shortly after her but doesn't look back.
[OOC: I freaking love tagging with you, just for the record.]
