I've been thinking about the significance of our first pokémon. I find it hard to believe the species given to us are random.
[A brief pause. He's been bothered by this ever since his arrival, actually.]
The initial reaction on meeting your first is important, whether it was fear, familiarity, anger, amusement, or the more unlikely indifference. Then there is of course the more pressing question: why were we given these particular ones?
I'd appreciate your thoughts.

It could very well be a mix of the two. It must be something extraordinary, seeing as it can not only take us from different worlds, but different times as well.
If it's not a person or some kind of group, how do you think this could have happened?

France believes that this is Hell and that this is his God's way of punishing him. I keep telling him that this isn't Hell, but of course he doesn't believe me, aru.

France was actually the one I referenced to. He certainly doesn't budge in his beliefs, but that is in many ways an admirable trait.

Haha, I should have known, aru. But yes, I also admire that characteristic of him. Then again, he's been the most religious Nation since his late childhood, aru.
As for me, I had too many concerns about governing and fighting and the like even as a child, but I can remember fearing the gods whenever I walked into a temple or a shrine.
