tapestodiane: (what are you saying)

I've been thinking about the significance of our first pokémon. I find it hard to believe the species given to us are random.

[A brief pause. He's been bothered by this ever since his arrival, actually.]

The initial reaction on meeting your first is important, whether it was fear, familiarity, anger, amusement, or the more unlikely indifference. Then there is of course the more pressing question: why were we given these particular ones?

I'd appreciate your thoughts.

[He's investigating again. Action for anyone in Azalea - he'll most likely be hanging around the pokémon center, working there and all.]

I have to agree with you, Mr. Cooper. It seems very unlikely that they were simply chosen for us by random. I've noticed the similarities that you speak of with the Pokemon my companions began with, and possibly even my own.

Yes, of course. [She nod, happily beginning her explanation.]

One of my companions received an Ekans as his starter. I find this rather ironic. He went to the same school as I, but was in the Slytherin House. It's symbol is a snake, and his starter was an Ekans, a snake Pokemon.

Then there is Ron. He started with a Magikarp. At first, this may not seem quite remarkable, but I think it is. Ron is not the most graceful person. He's clumsy, idiotic, and...my goodness, the list goes on. It took a bit of thought, but I believe it suits him, and possibly even shows how he'll become. If he relates to this Pokemon, then, as the Magikarp, he'll go through an 'evolution' and become a stronger person. Also, I think it's teaching him something. He's unused to having to work so hard for something, and he's learning patience in the process.

[video] Sorry for the long ramble last post. xD

Yes, I must agree.

[She smiles as well.]

As for my own starter, I believe it's fitting to me because Eevees have the ability to evolve into one of multiple forms. I myself have a broad interest in many things. There isn't a subject I don't like, and it's very hard for me to choose between them. I enjoy them all so much. With Eevees, there are so many different forms it can take, it's almost like trying to decide which subject I like the most.

[video] Oh gosh. xD

No, I haven't. It's not exactly an easy choice. Plus, I'd like to take Athena's opinion into consideration, as well. I would hate to evolve her into something she doesn't like.

[Goodness, you're making her blush.]

Oh, now....I wouldn't say that.

[....Okay, yeah. She probably would. But she's not overly obnoxious with adults.]

...Okay, perhaps I would.

[You got her. She really would.]

It's been a pleasure, as well. Good day, Mr. Cooper.

[And she's hanging up as well.]
