014 [audio]
[So, Johto. Haven’t heard things from Coop’s end for a while now, have you? Well, nothing outrageous has happened to him (that he wants to talk about, anyway), and he hasn’t had anything interesting to tell or show you guys (the trees in Goldenrod are clearly inferior to those in Ilex, pfff), but here he is again, with an inquiry which might make you recall the one from two months ago. Brought to you in the business-like voice you all know (and love?).]
I’d like to know what you were doing prior to your arrival here. And I’m not talking about occupations or roles in society but the more immediate moments leading up to finding yourself in this world. The replies I received to my last question to the network indicates that our starters are somehow significant and perhaps more information can be gathered about our current situation from the circumstances we were in before being brought here.
[Again – he’s investigating.]
[And that sounds like it might be all, but wait! There’s more.]
Oh, and I almost forgot. If anyone in or near Goldenrod comes across a Manectric that answers to Tricia, she belongs to me. While she has been excited about the rain I did not imagine she would be resourceful enough to find a way to escape my hotel room in order to be out in it. But that only goes to show that you should always double-check your windows if you prefer to keep your pokémon outside of their pokéballs.
[YEAH, his Manectric somehow got out through a window. (Spoiler: Coop's Vulpix is some kind of hyper-intelligent prodigy and opened it.) A good thing Coop’s floor isn’t very high up and that the Manectric has more lives than she has the right to have, considering she’s not, in fact, a cat with nine ones to spare. Feel free to find/have spotted her and tell Coop about it! (several of you can, I'm not very picky about suchthings.)]
[If anyone wants Action, he’s hanging around the Goldenrod hotel lobby with a cup of coffee and a bunch of papers.]
(video until otherwise stated!)
Were you?
(alright!)
I was investigating several murders and strange occurences.

Have your investigations about what happened to people before they arrived turned anything up, yet?
no subject
Not really. I can't say I expected it to but fact remains that even small details should be thoroughly investigated.
no subject
What was the reasoning behind asking what people were doing before they were taken?
no subject
no subject
Like some...magical event of sorts?
no subject
[He leans back a little in his seat.]
So far there's nothing indicating it.
no subject
How are you holding up, personally?
no subject
[At the question, he pauses briefly and frowns at the feed before answering.]
Well. [Well, sort of.] I have been feeling on edge lately but remain hopeful that it will disappear as spring approaches. Sunlight generally has a very positive effect on people.
Yourself?
...Come on, second line of dialog. I KNOW YOU WANT TO BE VISIBLE.
(When the attention turns to his own affairs, he shrugs.)
"On edge" as well, I suppose. Merlin and I are setting off for Violet soon to challenge Falkner–– I'm anticipating a worthy opponent.
MAYBE IT'S SHY. /ohgod, attempting to tag right now is so daunting.
[There's a hint of affection for her saying that, but he sounds a little tired, too.]
I gather most gym leaders are. I hope he lives up to your expectations.
I know, ugh. /BRB COPYPASTING ALL TAGS
He should, if what I've heard of him holds any weight. Have you fought him, yet?
/totally has word open as a safety precaution :|
[He hasn't fought anyone yet. It's not exactly on the forefront of his mind - he's not very competitive, but he'll probably get to the gym challenge soon. It'd give him something to do. He's getting restless.]
What pokémon do you have, at present?
...it... seems to be okay now, thankfully?
yes, I am very happy about this.
[Curiously. That is a lot of fire - he got is only fire-type just a few weeks back.]

no subject
Water-type pokémon, correct?
no subject
And ground-types as well. That wouldn't affect your Charizard but still be a threat to the other two.
no subject
So I should capture water and ground types to round out my party's weaknesses?
no subject
I think that would be a good course of action, yes. Balance goes a long way.
no subject
As does strength, but I see your point. (This will be something to mull over later, definitely. Absently, he adds,) In this way, it seems pokémon strategy parallels many aspects of the worlds outside Johto.
no subject
Any strategy would to some extent, I believe. We all have strategies for any imaginable situation we can find ourselves in.
