[So, Johto. Haven’t heard things from Coop’s end for a while now, have you? Well, nothing outrageous has happened to him (that he wants to talk about, anyway), and he hasn’t had anything interesting to tell or show you guys (the trees in Goldenrod are clearly inferior to those in Ilex, pfff), but here he is again, with an inquiry which might make you recall the one from two months ago. Brought to you in the business-like voice you all know (and love?).]

I’d like to know what you were doing prior to your arrival here. And I’m not talking about occupations or roles in society but the more immediate moments leading up to finding yourself in this world. The replies I received to my last question to the network indicates that our starters are somehow significant and perhaps more information can be gathered about our current situation from the circumstances we were in before being brought here.

[Again – he’s investigating.]

[And that sounds like it might be all, but wait! There’s more.]

Oh, and I almost forgot. If anyone in or near Goldenrod comes across a Manectric that answers to Tricia, she belongs to me. While she has been excited about the rain I did not imagine she would be resourceful enough to find a way to escape my hotel room in order to be out in it. But that only goes to show that you should always double-check your windows if you prefer to keep your pokémon outside of their pokéballs.

[YEAH, his Manectric somehow got out through a window. (Spoiler: Coop's Vulpix is some kind of hyper-intelligent prodigy and opened it.) A good thing Coop’s floor isn’t very high up and that the Manectric has more lives than she has the right to have, considering she’s not, in fact, a cat with nine ones to spare. Feel free to find/have spotted her and tell Coop about it! (several of you can, I'm not very picky about suchthings.)]

[If anyone wants Action, he’s hanging around the Goldenrod hotel lobby with a cup of coffee and a bunch of papers.]

[No, it isn't.]

Ah... I must say I'm surprised, I honestly thought you were from the 2000s like me, aru. [He smiles a little.] I won't spoil anything for you, but I can say that things will get pretty crazy before it all slowly winds down.

Yes, I feel the same way, aru. France and I were talking about home not too long ago. I like Johto and all the friends I've made here, but I still miss my country and my family, aru. And I'm certain that I'm not the only one feeling this way.

Yes, I have those sort of conflicting feelings too. I don't want to leave everyone here or my pokemon, but I am China, aru. I musn't be so selfish.

The world and my people need me, aru.

Ah, forgive me for my misunderstanding then-- [A sneeze, which is then followed by a sniffle.]

Aiyaa... I'd better not be getting sick, aru. Prussia and I still need to finish that sparring match we agreed to have way back in November!

[audio] Apologizes for lateness; I had so much hwk this past week plus internet problems

[It's just the culture he was raised in.]

Of course it is, aru. Although, I think it could just be the sudden changes in weather that are making me this way. First it's cold, now it's raining, then it begins to warm up...

[audio] <3 And now I must leave for my Saturday class *sob*

[identity profile] gochuugoku.livejournal.com 2011-04-09 04:41 pm (UTC)(link)
Now that you mention it, that's true. Back home it would be, aru. Although, in the time I came from, things like that have been happening.

Everyone's been noticing that it's been getting colder in the spring and warmer in the winter, aru.

[audio] I actually got back around 1:30, but I took some time to work on my project that's due soon

[identity profile] gochuugoku.livejournal.com 2011-04-09 11:35 pm (UTC)(link)
Well, there could be a lot of reasons as to why, aru. Some say it's global warming, others say it's because 2012 is nearing, then there are those who believe it's happening just because.

To be honest, I can't say that I believe any of those theories, aru. Things such as this have happened before in the past yet the earth has always made it through.

[Basically, he's not too worried about it. As long as his country was thriving, then that's all he needed.]

[audio] I think we've all had that experience before~ XD

[identity profile] gochuugoku.livejournal.com 2011-04-10 12:09 am (UTC)(link)
Yes. Since the Mayan calendar ends on December 21, 2012, some people believe that is a sign that the world will end on that day and year, aru. Honestly, did they ever think that the Mayans might have gotten tired of writing and decided to stop? America even made a movie about 2012, aru.

Yes, it is. I will probably be around as long as the planet will be around. Or if fate decides to have someone else take my place, then the Earth will continue to live on, aru.

[China folds his arms across his chest.]

I... suppose it was, aru.

Except in the movie they pushed the task of building the three large metal boats onto my country. And they only had three to four years to build them, aru!

And in the end, almost every country is under water! Every country except for the Cape of Good Hope in South Africa, aru.

[China shakes his head.]

Oh, no, aru. Not ALL the movies are like that, plus you'll be amazed at how improved the special effects are. Besides, the 2012 movie didn't have a bad ending.

In the end, the people on the boats head for shelter at the Cape of Good Hope and just as the movie ends, the water starts going back into the ocean, aru. The landmasses have moved, but there were actually a couple of survivors.

So not everyone dies, you see?

Come now, Cooper, of course you'll make it, aru. The 2000s are relatively peaceful, so I'm sure you will.

[China's had plenty of near-death experiences too, except... he has actually died a couple of times... and because he's a Nation, he can come back. Even so, he understands that humans can't do the same thing.]

Yes... Just twenty years after the First World War we experienced another, so I know all too well, aru.

Still, that doesn't mean we should get ourselves down. We can only do our best to live as long as we can, aru. Though many do not think so, it is the same strategy for us Nations, aru.
