I imagine quite a number of you are taking the gym challenge, but I'm curious as to what reason. Boredom? Some kind of obligation? That it just might lead to a way home?

I'm not sure. Either way I recently earned my second badge and expect to head back to Goldenrod in the near future. [A small pause here and his voice takes on a wistful little note.] Am quite excited to return to Ilex Forest. I believe it will be a beautiful sight and an invigorating hike.

I lived in Ireland most of my life, but I was in Japan before I wound up here.

America. Born and raised in Philadelphia, but I stick to the west coast these days.

Pick one. I've only been to Ireland, Scotland, and Japan, so I wouldn't know any of them.

I haven't been to too many places outside the States myself, so I'm not sure I'm fit to compare. The simple explanation would probably be that America isn't very different from Johto, just much more heavily industrialized. Nowhere near as many trees.

Yeah? Sounds interesting--Fuyuki City was sort of the same way. I have to admit, I'm liking this town so far--ain't exactly Ireland, but it's not bad.
