I imagine quite a number of you are taking the gym challenge, but I'm curious as to what reason. Boredom? Some kind of obligation? That it just might lead to a way home?

I'm not sure. Either way I recently earned my second badge and expect to head back to Goldenrod in the near future. [A small pause here and his voice takes on a wistful little note.] Am quite excited to return to Ilex Forest. I believe it will be a beautiful sight and an invigorating hike.

Definitely. Which is why it's even more surprising that we haven't heard of any deaths yet.

Well, you're hardly alone in that regard. I don't think it's in the human nature to ever be truly satisfied with the information at hand, especially if it's percieved as too little.

Area 51, Elvis, the moon landing... humans come up with all kinds of those.

_{[He makes a small humming sound, as if contemplating that.]} Well, they say that even the greatest of lies hide a small grain of truth. While I can't speak for Elvis or the moon landing there is a lot of secrecy surrounding that military base. In the end, who really knows? As a couple of philosophers have put it, there might not be any truth, just what's more or less accepted as it.

Elvis is dead, the moon landing happened. People look into things too much.

Though it's better than blindly accepting everything.

People do what they need to do to in order to find purpose in their lives. Some just do it in ways not all of us care to understand.

You mean in stupid ways.
