Does anyone else play Tetris?

_{[Guess who finally discovered the game apps on his 'gear! And guess who's been playing the games ever since! Spoiler: this guy. Cooper sounds pretty excited, actually, in that almost kid-like way that the ones who know him will probably recognise. He speaks fast and chipper.]}

Damn good game. Very engaging, very challenging. I've yet to get past the 100 lines mark, but I'd very much like to believe I'm getting there.

_{[Beat. You know, sometimes he really doesn't want to be here, but this games-in-the-gears-thing certainly picked him up.]}

Falling puzzle pieces _[:D] ... that Minesweeper game isn't half bad, either. And if I've got my facts right there are more games available for purchase at the PokéMarts. So, Network: any recommendations?

_{[Cooper wasn't all that impressed either, at first, but he'd found himself pretty caught up in the game when it started getting harder. It was pretty intense at times, really.]}

Yeah, I'm sure.

[He's certain that it will remain easy for him even past this 'level eight' because Envy likes to think he's better at everything than everybody. The first row of blocks he gets to disappear get a surprised look out of him; he didn't know they were going to vanish. But the score numbers at the top increased, so his surprise turns into a small, satisfied smirk.]

How many points do I need to get to win?

I'm not sure you can win. You just try to clear as many lines as possible.

_{[But hey, at least he can try to prove how good he is by getting the best highscore ever - or try to.]}

So you just keep going until you fail? Sounds like a pretty human game.

[At least to Envy. But, note that he hasn't stopped playing. As the blocks start to fall faster he's having to concentrate more on keeping up, or he wouldn't have let that 'human' comment slip.]

_{[Oh, Coop is definitely noting that he hasn't stopped playing, and this pleases him. But that comment does grab his attention.]}

I guess so. You're not human?

[Envy tenses and frowns warily at the question, out of habit. But there are a lot of nonhumans in Johto, and he doesn't think this person is from Amestris.]

No, I'm not. [He's giving Cooper a calculating, 'so what're you gonna do about it?' look, only half paying attention to the game now.]

_{[Oh, a defensive one. Cooper gives him a searching look for a second but decides to not ask him further, since that did seem to put him on edge. So, instead:]}

That's not all that surprising. We really do get all kinds here.

True. [He calms down some when Cooper doesn't question further.]

[And now he glances back to the game, only to find out that his inattention has cost him. It doesn't take much frantic block moving before the stack hits the top and he's lost. He scowls and closes out of the game, muttering a curse under his breath, but he'll be back to it later. Oh, he'll be back.]

Guess that would explain why you like these little games so much. [Even if he liked the game too shhh don't tell. Envy shrugs, looking a bit more distant with the new information, but then he gives Cooper a closer look.]

Think I've seen you before somewhere, but I don't remember getting your name.

_{[He'd be insulted (except not overly) but he could tell that you were into the game, Envy, so he'll just give you an even look before nodding.]}

[Oh yes, now Envy remembers. He frowns slightly at the remembrance of Dee vanishing, but then hides it and nods.]

_{[Oooh so this is Envy. He'd had his suspicions, but had wanted to make sure.]}

[Congratulations Cooper, you caught him completely by surprise with that question. If he'd been drinking anything he would have choked on it. Enjoy him getting his face back under control for the next few seconds.]

_{[Oh, he's totally enjoying it. Have a sunny grin, Envy. No big deal, right?]}

He's one of the first people I had the pleasure of getting to know here. He's mentioned you a few times.

[Envy is suspicious of the reason behind that grin because he does the same thing. But, this human is friends with France and hasn't done anything overtly irritating...Envy decides that he won't be quite such a jerk as he was being before. ~~And he's still a bit flustered.~~]

Oh. You know, you could have said that instead.

_{[He does a vague shrugging motion and does not really answer that.]}

It's good to finally get to know you.

...Sure, you too.

[So unsure of how to proceed with this conversation, it's not the sort of situation Envy is used to encountering. He pauses before muttering.]

So, what did he tell you about me?

[Maybe if he knows what this guy has already heard he can get his metaphorical feet back under him. And he is curious to know what France has said.]

Nothing, really. Mostly mentioned spending time with you and looking happy about it.
