[Private to France:] How about that coffee? Any time that works for you. (ooc: we could totally skip right to that and tag as if saturday coffee stuff, if you want?)
[And action, after that:] [Basically Cooper is all over the streets of Goldenrod today. He needs a new coat (there’s a nasty-looking tear in the sleeve of the one he’s wearing right now). And a suit (same there). And some strong coffee.]
[If you run into him, you might notice that he looks a bit different – could be the scratches on his face and general messy state. Coop is ... never in a messy state. Feel free to bother him about this and the fact that he seems generally tense.]
[Action]
You wouldn't have been very well suited for Azalea, then - that was a quiet town. But Goldenrod is a great place. It'll be an experience exploring it.
[At the mention of Envy, the grin softens a little.]
In the dating sense? I guess It's not very surprising that some people will find others here.
[Just looking for a confirmation before saying anything further on that.]
Travelling here is amazing. Granted, it will be nice to stay in civilisation for a while, but going places on foot is definitely a worthwhile experience.
I've been good. I am good - there's no point in complaining when the good outweighs the bad.
[He talks a lotbecause he likes you.]
[Action 1:2]
Yes. He and I were Valentines and last night we had a date. It was awesome. I think I was flying at some point; I still have to ask him exactly what happened after we left the bar.
[Action 2:2]
Traveling on foot really is the best way to see the world. It's fresher and acquaints a person much more with the surroundings. Did you see anything particularly interesting?
[Action]
[But side-tracked by the arrival of coffee, he takes a sip of that rather than replying. And oh man, he'd needed that.]
Not particularly. This entire world is interesting enough in its own right.
[The "don't you agree" goes unspoken, and he sets down the cup, making a bit of a face.]
[Action]
It is. Sentiment pink blobs that transform into anything are only the tip of the iceberg.
Something wrong?
[Action]
[He frowns for a second before he understands, and shakes his head.]
I [clears throat] guess you could say I got in a fight yesterday, but I imagine you had concluded as much.
[His arm hurts a bit - which is the reason for the previous face. Flexing muscles. But he doesn't really expand on it other than admitting as much:]
My arm hurts a bit. It's nothing.
[Action]
What was the fight about?
You can't get out of telling me. I'll just keep bothering you about it or I may draw my own conclusions, and I have a very active imagination, I can assure you.
[Action]
I suppose I better tell you then.
[He quickly looks serious again, but in a more business-like manner than appearing grave, and he gives the details rather quickly:]
There was a trail broken items I naturally followed, having figured an aggressive person to be behind the kind of aimless destruction. My motives were to get a good description to pass off to the local law enforcement and let them handle the situation, seeing as I no longer hold any authority.
The criminal was more attentive than I originally estimated and I was attacked. A short struggle followed before I was allowed escape.
[Action]
You really are a detective. You sound like the most dedicated of my men.
Were you able to get an adequate description to the law enforcement here or at least a few good knocks to the perpetrator?
[Action]
[Said casually, he smiles slightly in a crooked sort of way.]
I believe I can answer 'yes' on both accounts with no small level of credibility.
[Action]
Well, then, that's most excellent. Justice will prevail thanks to Monsieur Dale Cooper.
[Action]
[It was much easier to get results back home, but he'll take what he can get.]
[Action]
Do you plan to hit the department store?
[Action]
[Not paying any real attention to that wink as per usual, those words mean a little more than he lets on.]
I was there with Yao for a while yesterday. Amazing view from that roof, but I haven't attempted any shopping yet.
[raising an eyebrow here as he cuts into his pie.]
[Action]
We should go shopping together. I bet you could use some new clothes; we're given only that one spare outfit when we get here.
[Action] ...what a suggestive avatar, that. xD
[One of those rare moments he actually uses non-word-sounds in his sentences is warranted for this, because the idea of shopping for something other than necessities is nothing he normally entertains. Or does.]
I did get a new suit yesterday.
[
Only cause the other one was ruined, Coop. It doesn't count. He's not trying to get out of it, he's just thinking out loud.]But I guess there's no harm in expanding my wardrobe. Sure, you can count me in. Just a fair warning: I'm not much of a shopper.
[Action] I try my best ;3 It's actually one of my favorites XD
Oh, what style of suit? Did you go for a particular color? Bow-tie or tie or none? We absolutely must get you some casual wear, too! At least for lounging; I am partial to cashmere sweaters, but that's just me.
[Action] I just imagine Coop all O_o at seeing it xD
[The same kind he's always worn. He looks at France with an amused yet somewhat incredulous expression.]
Sounds like you've already got this covered.
[Action] France will have to demonstrate for Cooper sometime ;3
It's so much fun to go shopping with a friend rather than just by myself. I had been planning a bit of a shopping spree; I definitely need to pick up some hand cream and lotion for this weather. When would you be free?
[Action] Cooper will give the most matter-of-fact explanation of NO |: that you ever saw
[He makes a bit of a face again, and eats another piece of pie.]
The paperwork the centers have are almost worse than what I had to deal with at the Bureau.
[Action] France would just pout and then giggle. He loves showing off!
Ugh, paperwork. I've had enough of that to last lifetimes. Have you considered the restaurants or maybe floor work at the Department Store? It's not necessarily glamorous, but the pay is healthy.
[Action] Coop would really not compute. WHY ARE YOU A BIG FLIRT FRANCE.
I don't think I'm particularly fit for any other line of work. Even if paperwork is spectacularly dull, it's something I know I'm good at.
And it does give many opportunities to meditate.
[Which, you know, is always a plus.]
[Action] Being a flirt is one of the core aspects of his personality! 8D
I have never been good a meditation; I tend to become more nervous. Does it really work for you?
[Action] No kidding! Coop is seriously growing immune by the minute. xD
[As is the caffeine and sugar. He works on the kick.]
[Action] France should maybe turn it up a notch...
You don't have to answer if you don't want to. I personally tend to like staying up late; life is very fun in the nighttime.
[Action] ...yeah Coop would just respectfully tell him to stop xD
[Action] Aww but that's no fun X3
[Action] well Coop isn't actually a fun guy xD
[Action] To France, anyone can be fun ;3
[Action] evidently. xD
