[So, Johto. Haven’t heard things from Coop’s end for a while now, have you? Well, nothing outrageous has happened to him (that he wants to talk about, anyway), and he hasn’t had anything interesting to tell or show you guys (the trees in Goldenrod are clearly inferior to those in Ilex, pfff), but here he is again, with an inquiry which might make you recall the one from two months ago. Brought to you in the business-like voice you all know (and love?).]

I’d like to know what you were doing prior to your arrival here. And I’m not talking about occupations or roles in society but the more immediate moments leading up to finding yourself in this world. The replies I received to my last question to the network indicates that our starters are somehow significant and perhaps more information can be gathered about our current situation from the circumstances we were in before being brought here.

[Again – he’s investigating.]

Oh, and I almost forgot. If anyone in or near Goldenrod comes across a Manectric that answers to Tricia, she belongs to me. While she has been excited about the rain I did not imagine she would be resourceful enough to find a way to escape my hotel room in order to be out in it. But that only goes to show that you should always double-check your windows if you prefer to keep your pokémon outside of their pokéballs.

[YEAH, his Manectric somehow got out through a window. ~~(Spoiler: Coop's Vulpix is some kind of hyper-intelligent prodigy and opened it.)~~ A good thing Coop’s floor isn’t very high up and that the Manectric has more lives than she has the right to have, considering she’s not, in fact, a cat with nine ones to spare. Feel free to find/have spotted her and tell Coop about it! (several of you can, I'm not very picky about suchthings.)]

It comes with the job. But as long as mind, body and spirit are up to it you eventually learn how to cope with it.

[And ohgofsdh pony. Seriously, he hasn't had a conversation this uplifting for some time now. A lot of things have been beating down on his mood lately and he mirrors that grin almost without realizing it, for once feeling a-okay.]}

I've been good! My little sister Apple Bloom and her friend got in, so we had to go fetch 'em in Cherrygrove. Our Princess is here, too!

[ A pause. She abruptly looks worried. ] I sure hope somepony's making the sun rise back home...

Princess Celestia, right? I talked to her. _{[And Sweetie Belle too. God, he's like a pony stalker. Here, have a smile.]}

Time appears to stop back home for as long as we are here. I don't think you have to worry.

[ She visibly relaxes. ] Oh, good. I can't imagine what'd happen to our apples without the sun! Poor little Bloomberg would get all shrivelled up...

I didn't catch anyone new, but I recently obtained a Buneary and a Vulpix.

_{[aaafter a quick search he finds said Vulpix investigating a chair some distance away, so he pans the video and zooms in on him.]}

The other is up in my room, most likely sleeping or chewing on the sheets. He displays none of the nervous behaviour I imagined rabbits would have.

[ A rabbit? In distress? ONLY ONE PERSON TO CALL. ]

Why, you should talk to Fluttershy! Ain't nopony better with bunnies than her. Your Vulpix sure is cute, though!

I got the impression she's good with animals, yes. Maybe she could convince my Manectric to stay put.

_{[He says it with good humour, as she's the only one giving him trouble.]}

That's the pokey-mon that ran off, ain't it? I hope you find her. Custard's been the same since the storm came... I think he likes to chase the lightning bolts. He always comes back with his fleece all puffed out!

[ She laughs at the memory, before remembering that poor Coop doesn't know who Custard is. ] Custard's my mareep. He's a real pal, but he does love a rumble! Fluttershy takes care of his good friend Cream.

That's her. I don't feel too worried about her yet but it would be good to know her whereabouts.

_{[Ah - a Mareep. It's got to be an electric thing.]}

Tricia's an Electric type as well. I suppose it makes sense for them to enjoy this kind of weather. Personally I find there's nothing like enjoying a storm indoors with a good book and a hot drink.

Back home, Big Macintosh, Apple Bloom and I would go gallopin' through the orchard during a rainstorn--only when there was no lightnin', mind, 'cause that'd be mighty dangerous. [ She looks vaguely nostalgic. ]

When I was a little filly, I liked to check the storm schedule so I knew when to go stompin' in the puddles. Now that we're hue-mun, though, we gotta wear these...rainboots, I reckon they're called?

Yes, rainboots. You don't have to wear them if you'd prefer not to - it's just something humans wear in order to keep from getting muddy.

Well y'all don't got any hair, either, so I reckon it must get pretty cold wanderin' about without 'em! I don't mind a bit o' mud, [ more like 'don't notice' ] but I don't want Apple Bloom or me to catch a cold, either.

No, colds are generally unpleasant.

Thankfully, he hasn't been sick for a while, be it cold or more serious things if you don't count being shot, but he used to have some problems with it when he was a kid.]}

Hey Coop, do you reckon hue-muns get sick more often than ponies do?

It wouldn't surprise me. Back home I believe animals were sick quite seldom by comparison.
