I imagine quite a number of you are taking the gym challenge, but I'm curious as to what reason. Boredom? Some kind of obligation? That it just might lead to a way home?

I'm not sure. Either way I recently earned my second badge and expect to head back to Goldenrod in the near future. [A small pause here and his voice takes on a wistful little note.] Am quite excited to return to Ilex Forest. I believe it will be a beautiful sight and an invigorating hike.

And you have to hang upside-down to get fresh blood to the head?

Well, gravity's a big help in that department. _{[Duh. And if you hang on for a second he'll swing himself up to sit on the branch as opposed to hang from it. The video is messy/dark for a bit before it's back on him, and he dusts the screen off - then just sits back with a relaxed smile.]}

Man, I've missed summer.

Do you start EVERY morning like that, or just summer ones?

As many as I can. There's not always a suitable place to hang from.

Meaning sometime next year your age will be equal to a fifth of a century. Age is a matter of perspective.

_{[He's actually totally a little nonplussed about the fact that he's even even having a conversation like this. ... cause really.]}

_{[She doesn't really mean the teasing seriously-- it's just what she does. She actually doesn't consider Cooper to be that old at all. She figures he's like, what, in his thirties?]}

_{[Yeah, he figures that much - and doesn't take it personally at all. But just the fact that he's even engaged in a conversation on such an irrelevant topic with an air of banter for more than thirty seconds. He normally has no staying power in this kind of thing at all, or people just don't latch on because hello serious line of work.]}

Yeah, well, three fourths is still a LOT bigger than one fourth.

I like to think I've got a pretty good perspective, overall.

I've been told I'm wise beyond my years. ... Of course, I've also been called a fool, so, y'know. Maybe they're connected.

The Tibethan buddhists believe that everything is connected - every object, being or concept, to what is around it and what caused it. If being wise and a fool are both traits of yours, they're connected by default.

_{[He lays it out simply, but is obviously into what he's saying. Ah, Tibet.]}

Of course, if these traits developed during the same or similar experiences, the connection would be even stronger.
